A week filled with wooden beauties is coming to an end, and our team is heading into the weekend.

This week we really enjoyed the colors of early autumn, both in nature up north and at our factory.
And as always at this time of year, Christmas is already on our minds — like in the last image, showing one of our all-time favorites: the Lovi Spruce Tree 30cm with Minibaubles in natural wood and bright red.

Calling all serious Christmas fans out there! We’re sure you’ve noticed too that there are less than 100 nights until Christmas!

Don’t worry, we’re not going to fully dive into Christmas mode just yet – but since Christmas is our favorite time of year, we thought we’d give it a little spotlight, just for today.

And in case you didn’t know: the whole Lovi story began with a wooden Christmas tree bauble. Twenty years and tens of thousands of baubles later, that little spark of Christmas magic is still at the heart of everything we make.

Do you know the Moomins? Everyone here in Finland does — but have you gotten to know the stories written by Tove Jansson, and the wonderful world of Moominvalley and its residents she created? If not, they’re well worth exploring. These stories work beautifully for readers of any age.

In these photos, meet our Moomin by Lovi figures: Little My, Moomintroll, Snufkin, Moominmamma, Snorkmaiden, Moominpappa, and the Hattifatteners — each one true to Tove Jansson’s original illustrations. It’s such a joy, and an honor, to make these figures in the homeland of the Moomin stories.
